My idea for the day

When I am left in silence for too long I come up with, what I think, are generally good ideas. A few months ago I came up with the idea to knit from a book rather than knitting from other resources. That was mostly because I would never finish with one project before I started another one. As a result I have several projects that are unfinished. I ended up knitting from two books and alternating them. I got way more done that I ever thought I would. Who would have thought that scarfs were simple and quick projects to do?! So in all I believe that was a good idea. Now my next big idea, since I have so many resources to choose from, is to pick 12 patterns from one resource and knit them. There also was the idea to knit one thing for everyone in my family each year. Then the question becomes who to start with first. Such as who would be the biggest priority. Would it be the people that live the farthest away or the ones closest or would it be determined by the project? I think I might end up determining that by project size, doing the biggest ones first and smaller ones last. I always do things like that, doing harder things first so that way I stress less in the end.

my first knitting blog

Hello everyone in Blogger-land!!
First let me give you a little background of myself. I have been knitting for about 6yrs+ and out of all that time i think i have only finished about 10 or so projects (that were actually worth talking about). I am a self taught knitter and i have made every textbook mistake that every beginner makes. After i learned the technique of knitting i, of course, started a big comfy sweater. I didn't get very far before i realized that i was way over my head. Some years later, again after I thought i had a handle on things, I started another sweater in the most hideous yarn ever!!! Needless to say that didn't get very far either. Actually i still have that unfinished project in my stash somewhere taking up space where other more beautiful yarn balls could go. Ever since those two instances I have officially sworn off knitting sweaters for a very long time!!
Some of my more successful projects are finger less gloves that i made for my ex. Which I do not know if he still has or not (i really don't care either way) and more recently was a pair of gorgeous entralac knee high socks. What i did not seem to know was that entralac is not exactly the easiest thing for an average person to do, but i love it. Especially if there is more than one color, OMG!!! The drama!!!!
Well that is all for now I have house chores to do.
